Connect JTL-Shop to AI: Claude as your assistant
The Shoplotse AI Bridge plugin gives your JTL-Shop 5 a protected interface based on the open MCP standard. Through it, an AI assistant like Claude can read data from your shop and suggest changes. A change is only carried out once you approve it in the shop backend.
What the AI can do in your shop
- It reads revenue, orders, visitors, bestsellers and where your visitors come from, and explains the numbers in plain language.
- It finds where customers drop off: in the cart, in checkout, at payment or with unpaid orders.
- It checks pages and products for missing meta descriptions, images and duplicate names and suggests better copy.
- It knows your shipping and payment methods, stock levels, reviews, redirects and coupons.
- 44 tools are available in total. The full list with example prompts is in the docs.
How the connection works
- You upload the plugin in JTL-Shop under plugin management and install it.
- The “Einrichtung” (setup) tab walks you through everything in 7 steps. Every step has a check button.
- The plugin creates a secret address with a key. You add it to your AI assistant as a connector.
- From then on you ask in the chat, for example: “How did revenue last month compare to the month before?”
Why nothing happens without you
- By default, every change lands as a proposal in the “Freigaben” (approvals) tab. You see in red what goes away and in green what is new.
- Only your click on “Freigeben” (approve) carries out the change. The previous state is backed up first and can be restored.
- Coupons always need approval, even if you otherwise switch approvals off.
- Every call to the interface is listed in the “Protokoll” (log) tab. If you like, access can be restricted to specific IP addresses.
